All of our donkeys come with a guarantee. If after four weeks they are not suitable for you we will take them back. All of our donkeys are to go to good, caring homes only and we strive to ensure that any you may buy from us are best suited to your requirements. Care of our donkeys is our utmost concern and we maintain very high standards of welfare with the help and guidance of Lionel Ford and Liz Ellis from The Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. The Donkey Sanctuary regularly inspects our donkeys and provides free advice and training to donkey owners. If required, our donkeys can be vetted by a vet before purchase but this would incur an additional veterinary fee. Please be aware that for welfare reasons a donkey should not be sold before it is six months old, not be ridden until it is four years old and only persons under eight stone and 16 years of age should be permitted to ride.		Buying Donkeys: When looking to buy a donkey you need to be vigilant and make sure that the animal is suitable for sale and for your purposes. Here are a few guidelines: Get an independant second opinion: to check the health of the donkey and that it will be suitable for you. Ask for a Donkey Sanctuary check: these are the people who know about donkeys and can reassure you about your prospective purchase. You can telephone them on 01395 578 222. Get informed: attend one of the Donkey Sanctuary Courses which are held around the country free of charge. If you have a donkey, or donkeys, which you can no longer care for or you wish to sell, please get in touch with us and we will either purchase them from you or give you help and assistance in finding a new owner.

Blacky		Blacky is a big and strong jenny, with a lovely nature. She is 11hh, suitable for working or breeding and was born in 2005. She is fully wormed, microchipped, passported, and has had her feet trimmed and teeth checked recently. Remember, all our donkeys come with a four week no-quibble guarantee. If they prove not to be suitable we will gladly take them back. I am very glad to announce that Blacky has gone to work with Jenny at West Hill Beach Donkeys in Weymouth
Shamrock		Shamrock is a skewbald jack foal, born in May, 2011. He is Blacky's son and would make an ideal companion donkey. He has a lovely nature but likes company so is not suitable to go as a lone donkey. He is fully wormed, microchipped, passported, and has had his feet trimmed and teeth checked recently. Remember, all our donkeys come with a four week no-quibble guarantee. If they prove not to be suitable we will gladly take them back. Shamrock has been sold to a lovely home in Dartmouth
Emily		Emily is a small skewbald jenny, 9hh, born in 2004. She has been working on the beach this summer and has a lovely nature - suited both as a pet or a working donkey. She is fully wormed, microchipped, passported, and has had her feet trimmed and teeth checked recently. Remember, all our donkeys come with a four week no-quibble guarantee. If they prove not to be suitable we will gladly take them back. Emily has a new home in Dartmouth as a working donkey.
Dyfrig		Dyfrig is a brown jack foal, born in April, 2011. He is fully wormed, microchipped, passported, and has had his feet trimmed and teeth checked recently. Remember, all our donkeys come with a four week no-quibble guarantee. If they prove not to be suitable we will gladly take them back.
Rheinallt		Rheinallt is a brown jack foal, born in March, 2011. He is fully wormed, microchipped, passported, and has had his feet trimmed and teeth checked recently. Bill and Ben		Bill (left) and Ben (right) are two five year old halter trained geldings who make an ideal matching pair but could also go separately. Chalky		Chalky is an unusually coloured five year old gelding with a quiet nature. He is halter trained and very nosey! Geronimo		Geronimo is a four year old gelding, very big and strong (not far off 13hh) who is an early riser and very noisy in the morning! He is a good multi-purpose halter trained donkey who really needs to work - he's too good to be left in a field. Gracy		Gracy is five year old jenny with a lovely nature. She is halter trained and would make an ideal pet donkey who likes the quiet life and loves people. Cyo		Cyo is a well boned, halter trained, three year old jack - quite a ladies man. He is ideal if you want to breed strong working stock and has a cracking nature for a stallion (but he can be a bit noisy)! Lewis		Lewis (in the foreground) is a five year old halter trained gelding, a fine multi purpose donkey who likes the quiet life. Lloyd		Lloyd is halter trained four year old gelding who lives in his own world - a bit of a loner. Halfpenny		Halfpenny is a halter trained four year old gelding with a very dark face as you can see - he looks like he's been down the coal mine! He has a very nosey personality. Shane		Shane is a four year old gelding with a lovely nature - he always seems to be in a rush and is the first to greet you in the field. Stan		Stan is a big and strong four year old gelding, perfectly suited to working. He is halter trained and has a lovely nature. He will need sunblock on his pale nose in the summer. Felix		Felix is a light grey gelding, 10hh, born in January 2000. He has been passed by a local authority vet as fit for working and has just finished a summer giving rides to children. He is fully wormed, microchipped, passported, and has had his feet trimmed and teeth checked recently. He is a nice riding donkey and would be perfectly suited as a pet or for working. Patch		Patch is a skewbald gelding, just over 10hh, born in January 2003. He has been passed by a local authority vet as fit for working and has just finished a summer giving rides to children. He is fully wormed, microchipped, passported, and has had his feet trimmed and teeth checked recently. He is a nice riding donkey and would be perfectly suited as a pet or for working. Jenny		Here is Jenny who is halter-trained and who was born on January 1, 2004. She is a lovely big jenny (I am 6'1") and would be good for breeding. Jenny went to Weymouth on a working holiday this summer to learn English and enjoyed the sun and sand so much she decided not to come back
